Synopsis[]
The renovation gets off track.
Plot[]
Sydney persists in refining the menu and receives valuable assistance from Tina, who flourishes in culinary school. However, Tina grows concerned when Ebra suddenly stops attending the classes. In a surprising turn of events, Natalie manages to persuade Cicero to expedite the permit application process, allowing progress to move forward swiftly.
Accompanied by Claire, Carmy embarks on a trip to submit the liquor license application. During this outing, the two of them bond, and Claire entices Carmy to accompany her to a party. It is at this gathering that Carmy realizes Claire embodies the "fun" he has been desperately seeking.
At the party, Claire comforts her upset friend, while Carmy reconnects with some old classmates. The pair drift to the kitchen and make lighthearted conversation. When Claire asks why Carmy gave her a fake phone number, he pauses and then remarks how much he likes her. The two share a bit of a will-they-won't-they moment before the party is busted by the police for use of illegal fireworks.
Following the eventful party, Carmy seizes the opportunity to show Claire the restaurant. Unfortunately, their visit is interrupted by an argument, triggered by Richie's unauthorized usage of electricity from a neighboring building. Once the commotion subsides, Carmy and Claire find themselves sharing an intimate moment as they exchange their first kiss.
